PAWS to build new Philadelphia headquarters, combining services under one roof — Ambler Real Estate news

After 20 years of helping animals in Philadelphia, PAWS is preparing to move into a new home. On Monday, the animal rescue organization announced plans to build a new headquarters on Oregon Avenue in South Philadelphia, bringing its rescue, adoption, affordable veterinary care and Safety Net programs together under one roof. The new 18,500 sq. ft. facility is expected to open in late 2027 and will replace PAWS existing locations in Grays Ferry and Old City. According to the organization, the new headquarters will provide three times the space of its current facilities, which PAWS says it has outgrown as demand for its services continues to exceed capacity. After a lengthy search, PAWS purchased the South Philadelphia property and spent years planning the new facility. Clear the Shelters
